Outcomes
A fabulous awards ceremony to celebrate the industry achievements and give companies a chance to network and communicate with their peers.
Attended by international industry leaders and creative visionaries, Restaurant & Bar Design Week is an opportunity to hear from those behind today’s projects and to explore the issues defining tomorrow’s.
Spread throughout London and set across four days, the programme includes panel discussions and roundtables, as well as invite-only networking events, that allow the global design and hospitality community to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones.
The Week culminates in the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards ceremony at Florattica where the overall winners will be announced
Now in its eleventh year and with entries from over 70 countries worldwide, the awards cover every imaginable space; From ships to airports, museums to burger vans, from revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups.
With a different theme every year, the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards ceremony is a unique event strongly focused on innovation, design and performance. Designed by &Smith, the 2019 edition of the Awards ceremony was called ‘POP’ and held at King’s Cross, London.
Green Spark were tasked to provide event production services including; lighting design, audio systems, large format projection and an experienced crew for show-calling and operation.
I can’t thank you enough for all your help and support with this year’s awards. Everything went so smoothly, thanks to your planning, professionalism and expertise. It was the least stressed I’ve ever been!
The event was staged under the The Handyside Canopy, a unique space that required an enclosed area to be built under the canopy to keep the event separate from the public space. A structure was designed to create an interesting environment for the awards and provide areas for bars, kitchens and big visuals. The design incorporated Tufcoat shrink wrapped around scaffolding which is an unconventional material for event use and so required extensive testing to ensure that it was suitable for use as a projection surface.
This was a very creative project which forced us to think outside the box. Lighting and visual effects were a key element on this event to create an atmosphere adding impact to the event and depth to the event environment.
