So you need some video on your website but you’re in an industry that might be described as boring.

You know who you are.

What type of video would work best for you? Well I’m going to tell you and I’ll let you into a secret. Even if your industry isn’t that boring it’s still a great video.

Hi, I’m Jim from Green Spark. You’ve definitely heard this one before. People buy from people. So a great video to have on your website if you sell anything – products or services or whatever is a Meet the Team video. Let your potential customers see the people behind the scenes in your business and especially if your customers are going to liaise with a particular person in your business – if they have an account manager or something like that, let them see those people on camera let them get their personality across.

In some industries it might be appropriate to have them talk about their specialist area but in those more boring industries maybe don’t talk about the work at all maybe talk about what they do outside of work or ask them what their favourite film is or what their favourite holiday was. It lets people relax a bit and lets you get to know them and it humanises your company.
